A Bit of Gussy

No Comments on A Bit of Gussy

Tonight the entire fam is out for a bit of miniature train fun — and free buffet, ha ha. I figured I’d have a bit of fun with my hair, ’cause I can’t remember the last time I braided the front. It’s still pulled back and vaguely tidy rather than hanging loose, but now I have the option! Fancy! ((And… Read more »

More!

I made myself buckle down and get it done, so now all the stitch markers are pricetagged and business cardeded. I ended up redoing one of my first stitch marker efforts because it wasn’t up to snuff, and tweaked the prices down on a few things. Most of it was rounding things down from x.25 to x.00 for general ease… Read more »

Organamasation!

I made a start last night on getting my stitch marker stock price tagged and organised. Looks pretty swish, non? Of course, I had less crochet markers to do by a fair old measure, so I’m going to be at it for a bit for the knit ones. Still, at least getting the bulk of it done this far out… Read more »

The Flip Side

I decided I was going to try to focus my efforts on getting the blanket finished. It takes up a lot of space in my crafting area, so getting it done and moved off would be a Good Thing™®. It’s pleasant to look upon and I was starting to get a good pace before we hit dinnertime. Hopefully I can… Read more »

Nothing Much

Today has been a day of doing very little, but doing it well. Both girls were home with me, and were awesome at entertaining both themselves as individuals, but also as a pair. I think that we’re all going to make it through this half-term, seeing how there’s only two more day-days before the weekend and return to ‘normal’ operations…. Read more »

Party Rock

And lo, we did go to a child’s birthday party this morning, and lo, we did survive. They even fed the adults, which I made sure to praise ’cause normally we get stiffed at these deals. The birthday girl loved her bounce house surprise, and Z and I were both charmed by the fact it had a slide (the bit… Read more »

Two to Go

There is finally an end in sight on the blanket squares — there are only two more cakes of wool to get through. I don’t know how long it’ll take me exactly because I haven’t been keeping track of that. I guess I could circle back and get an estimate, but honestly? I can’t be bothered. 🙂 What I CAN… Read more »

If everything is as I think it’s going to be tomorrow, I am going to be able to get started on a custom order for a friend. She wants two pairs of earrings in every colour of the dice beads that should be coming in, and well, can do! I have to keep reminding myself that the prices I charge… Read more »

Outside Exists

On today, the hottest day of the year so far — I left the house not once, but twice. I had an order come in last night on my way home from the pub, and then another one pretty much as soon as I had sat down and finished a sandwich after the first trip. Which was fine! I needed… Read more »

Camera Hogs

I was trying to take a selfie to use for tonight here, when my favourite little camera hog wandered over. We took a couple of amusing photos, but I liked this one the best for no particular reason. Jeze is on her way back home now, le boo. It was fantastic having her to visit, and we are thrilled there… Read more »
