Kersmas!

I made good on my plans to get the table cleared, so Z get the tree built and ready for the girls. Smalls was down at the village hall playing basketball with her bestie, so Smaller had to wait for a bit. But they got stuck in and got it done, so yanno, sorted. Now I guess I have to try to think about the rest of the shopping, as I’ve just not been up to dealing with *any* of it. Not that I’m beating myself up about it either, seeing how it’s a weird year and all my spoons are pretty much going towards keeping me centred and sane (which includes being more or less happy, so holla).

Past that, I am feeling slightly at loose ends. Like I’m supposed to be doing something, but I know not what (not counting the aforementioned). But I’ll figure it out, or I won’t, and I’m going to tryyyy to not dwell on it and drive myself up the wall.

Oh yes, past that — father-in-law is doing more or less okay. Being the weekend, they didn’t really do anything to him, outside of feed him and occasionally poke him. I think we’ll probably have him home by the end of the week, but I think that we are all trying to be… both optimistic and realistic. There probably is no need for him to stay more than a few more days, but that depends on what they find. I know the knock-on is that Mum isn’t ready to deal with Christmassing up her place, which yanno, fair. If we didn’t have kids, I’m not sure I would’ve been bothered this year. But it’s nice, I guess. 🙂
