Queen of Improv

My existing spool of chain is nearly run dry, so I had made a point to order more that looked to be a likely match. It’s close, but not perfect. I’ll still be able to use it, but I’ll have to rejigger my math slightly so that I use the right  amount of chain (I’d written my ‘recipes’ in number of chains, so changing it for proper length, etc).

I didn’t have another spool to hand, and the new chain was tangling, so I thought… maybe I can make a spool? So I did! Out of cardboard! I’m ridiculously pleased with myself, because it would not have been that long ago where I would have just made a sad face and wrapped it around a bit of card or something. It’s not like it’s the fanciest job or *that* hard, but it still feels like a step in the right constructive/creative direction.

Speaking of, been making too many of all the things, and am working through a massive photo sesh’s worth of product pictures. I’m most of the way through, but yeah… lots of work, worked up a sweat even within my super tiny photo ‘studio’ setup.

I should get to finishing that up, and wrapping up a pretty solid day of ignoring the outside world.
