Give Us a Smile, Love

Well, compliments of our friend Eunice blowing in, we finally have seen the first couple of bricks go over on our wall. It’s been a long time coming, even longer than we have lived here. I don’t know if any more has blown over since this was taken a few hours ago, but I *think* that the wind has slowed down.

We got Batman properly buried this morning. Everyone gave him a last pet on his pretty little head, and I laid him with said head pointed towards the house amongst the remnants of carrots that I planted ages ago. I had a bath after, painted my nails, and feel like I’m a bit better for it all. I’m going to miss my best boy, but at least, yanno, did right by him, etc.

Past that, have Smaller’s bestie and her mum over. A’s dad was supposed to come as well, but the wind deroofed one of their sheds, so he’s currently trying to get it reattached to prevent the entire shed going. We’re sad he can’t make it, but we appreciate his efforts.
