Squirrelfest

I’ve been taken a lot of pictures on accident lately. That, or Littlerbit is a bigger ninja than I realised. I found this one on my phone when I went to mail a picture of the birthday girl to myself for use in posting. This works pretty well too though. There’s my PJs, there’s my 3DS, and there’s my desktop… Read more »

I Shall Love Him, and Call Him George

George Jefferson Rainbow Brite Bunny Rabbit, to be precise. What can I say, other than I named him for two shows/characters I rather liked when I was 4 or 5. Yes, I liked The Jeffersons that much, not that I could tell you anything about it now, ha ha. bat had wanted people to post nice pictures of themselves with… Read more »

Easily Pleased

She isn’t the only one that is easily pleased, ha ha. Her specific reason for being pleased here though was that she had gone upstairs and dragged her duvet down. She brings her father’s bathrobe every night for him to cuddle up on while they’re hanging out on the couch, so I shouldn’t be surprised that she chose to up… Read more »

Job Done

As of today, I can report that my Pokédex is properly, 100% complete… as of the last generation of games, Generation VI. I still find it funny that I found it easier to gather 721 Pokémon, to include all Mythicals, than I did the original 151. Having said that, the Global Trade System and Wonder Trade functions in Generations VI… Read more »

Slowly Forward

I’ve not done a lot today, which is fine by me. I’ve done some knitting, I’ve taken care of the kids, and I’ve continued wallowing in the ancient fun of the original Civilization. I started the day sort of worrying that I wasn’t going to be able to cope with the kiddos, but Smallhausen stepped up in a big way…. Read more »

1911

But really, it’s hot here. It was, apparently, the hottest September day since 1911; it was the hottest since 1949 when I went out at 4pm, so make of that what you will. *chuckles* And the Brits… one of the things I was super at home with is that the Brits are as obsessed with taking about the weather as… Read more »

What We Don’t Talk About

No Comments on What We Don’t Talk About

One very cogent and true complaint I see of modern life is how we have this online medium to present a picture perfect life. Fights are glossed over or never mentioned, each child is more picture perfect than the last, and isn’t everything enviable? Everyone is perfectly in love with the love of their life, and everyone is shitting rainbows… Read more »

Uhhhh….

We are now in that space where it’s less than 48 hours until we leave for vacation. Like, this time Saturday, we will be at the hotel so we can catch the ferry the following morning. Everyone else is like, nearly packed, but me? Naaaaaah. Okay so like, we moved a lot growing up. A *LOT*. I think I clocked… Read more »

Warning: Vacation Imminent

No Comments on Warning: Vacation Imminent

Which isn’t to say a vacation from blogging — even with being on holiday, I feel that I owe it to myself to get my writing done. It’s just how I do things. 😀 But we *are* heading out on vacation in the next week, which means the boring planning stuff, like packing. Z is handling most of it because… Read more »

Making Memories

Today was Sports Day, or field day for you Yanks. at Smallhausen’s school. We couldn’t go last year because they don’t let parents come to the Reception year sports day, so the entire clan was out in force to support today. In the latter half, I was sitting and chatting to my mother-in-law, as one does. She was gesturing to… Read more »
