What in Carnation

No Comments on What in Carnation

Any time I need to leave the house to walk to the Post Office, I find myself taking eleventy million pictures of flowers. And yet, I still manage to make discoveries over the short trek. This carnation? I’d never noticed it before. It’s my birth flower, so you’d think I would have clocked it before. Really, why don’t I even have any growing?! *laughs* I’ve roses, because I especially love roses and associate them with home, but not carnations. Having said that, I never garden, so it would just be another thing for Z to deal with. Might as well just enjoy them when I walk past someone elses’ yard for now.

Z was home again today, rather than spreading his cough around the office. I think that him being around has helped focus me? Like, I couldn’t work in the office on the regular. The noises are wrong, and include the potential for multiple phone calls going on in the same room at the same time. My go-to at home is to pop Amazon Music on one of their random ‘stations’ and letting it do its thing. Because there aren’t commercials, and I’m not having to overthink playlisting, it’s about the perfect white noise (I can’t do classical or jazz, ’cause I get relaxed and doze off).

For now, gonna look at my knitting and try to talk myself into doing a few stitches. My normal biweekly Wednesday company has had to beg off because of work, which means I’m less driven to work on it. But I should, ’cause yanno, baby any day now next door.
