First thing this morning, I finished the last few stray ends of my blanket. I realised I was almost done when I went to bed, but opted to… well, go to bed. It’s currently tucked up in the chair on Z’s side of the bed, waiting for when it’s actually needed. And of course, since I’m supposed to be doing ALL THE CRAFTING in preparation for the fete, I returned to doing the cat hat. I’ve got about two more inches before I can do the remaining rib, so not that much in the scheme of things.
I also did a pair of earrings for myself/for practice. I’ve asked for advice, but I have to admit that I am pretty happy with how they look on me. I expect that I will be doing several rounds of experimentation just to make sure that I’m satisfied that it’s both an attractive and functional product.
Oh yeah, and we had birthday fun today. Littlest levelled up, so we had the grandparents around for cake, and watching the kiddos on the swing set. The weather was pleasant enough to sit outside for a bit, with that hint of rain in the air (not that I think it’s going to actually rain, because why would it when it would be welcome!).
Anyways, almost time to herd children to bed, and my mind keeps wandering, so I’ll follow it.
Have you considered parent and child paired bracelets for the fair?
I’m going to be making similar ones in both sizes, so yes — sort of in that line. 🙂
