Game On

Both of the girls’ chairs arrived today, and early enough that we were able to get them both built before they got home from school. Well. I was finishing off Small’s chair while Z was on the school run, but it was done and waiting and in the right place when she walked through the door. Z made her wait to walk home with him and her sister, to her bemusement and mild annoyance, but I think the affect of them getting to see their new chairs together at the same time was probably worth it in the end. They are both exceedingly happy with their chairs, and Nanny was happy to treat them to their Christmas pressies early. We’re very pragmatic in that regard, and often will get our Christmas gifts early so that we can enjoy them longer, like these chairs.

And, of course, I’ve got something in the post tomorrow — it’s mah new laptop! I’ve still got a few things I ‘need’ to take off of here forto transfer over, but for the most part, that’s done, and I’ve stripped off a lot of games to make space for Smaller, if she wants to see if it’ll work better for her for the games she likes. My current plan is to leave my profile in place, and whether I tidy it up and leave it for her to use, or make her a fresh one… I’ll figure that out tomorrow. Whatever the case, I’ve cleared enough space on the drives that there is nearly a terabyte free again! She won’t use hardly any of that, since most of her games are via Roblox, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t at least try to spruce up this nearly 7 year old machine.
