Другой День, Другой Доллар

Or, in English — ‘Another day, another dollar’. That is never more true than on the first working day of the month. A new month means doing year end accounts for anything ending the previous month, and those need to be done as fast as possible. There’s only three from May, and I’ve got two of them pretty much turned around. There’s still a few things that I need confirmation on from D in the office, but I’m sure that will be waiting for me when I log on tomorrow. I really feel like I earn my pennies when I get fast turnaround time on the year ends, hee hee.

Smalls was starting to feel the boredom today, poor mite. She wanted a picnic, which I shot down on the whole too hot//being murdered by pollen while still indoors. We agreed she could eat her lunch outside, but she changed her mind once I told her she couldn’t take her tablet outside with her. In the end, she agreed that it was a better idea to wait until after Z got home and it cooled down. They busted out water guns, did some sliding and bouncing, and on the whole had a nice time. I’m hoping that it’s cool or cloudy enough tomorrow to turf them out a few times to get some energy burned off… but we’ll see.

For the moment, I’m doing my best to chill out in Gameland. I put aside Stardew Valley for a bit, as I hit a point where I was starting to get bored. I’ve got Civilization VI up for the second, but I don’t know if that’s going to scratch an itch either. I have the temptation to do a Sims 3 legacy… for like, a half second. I see that Pinstar and co have a few new Sims 4 challenges up, so that might be the route to go.

And, of course, making myself poke along with my knitting. Everyone was really jazzed about my progress and luck in the colours matching, and I in turn was happy to see what everyone else was working on. Sometimes I look for inspiration in everyone elses’ projects, but I know that it’s gonna be another pair of socks after this one more than likely. I’ve got another ball of the Chroma in another colourway, and a pattern that is begging to be done.

Right, off to round up children into bed.
