Gettin’ Busy

It’s been a pleasingly busy day. Got up before Smalls made it out the door. Had a bath. Did a really corking job of work-related things. Nice visit with mum. I wasn’t completely sure it was going to happen ’cause Smalls was slightly reticent about being home alone for half an hour. But we talked it over, and they agreed that it was fine, call me if there was anything. Which they did — their planned playdate of ridiculousness with a friend went forward once friend had approval from their mother. Bonus, mother-in-law got to hear me on the phone with childling, and see our dynamic in ‘the wild’. I don’t know why this mattered to me, but it weirdly did.

So yeah, no grand weekend plans, outside of the usual craft + game. These are the best plans, yes yes.
