Toetown

Barring unforeseen circumstances, it looks like I am going to be finishing this sock/pair of socks tonight. And then, hopefully, casting on for the next one. My bag of sock wool that I bought at the start of last year is starting to look a bit flatter, so woo for that. I might, I’ve not 100% decided, take the ball I bought with Smalls in mind and make her a pair of short socks. Her feet grew a loooot since I bought the wool, so I only picked up a 50 gram ball. I should still be able to eke out a pair of socks… but this might be a pair I do toe up for the first time ever just to be on the safe side.

Past that, it’s Friday/Friyay/etc. We didn’t fry from the heat, ’cause the a/c has done a stand-up job while standing up. Work happened. I had hoped to be slightly more productive because we’re on holiday for two weeks starting next week, and I didn’t want to come back to a huge backlog. ‘Come back to’, heh. We’re not going anywhere this year, but we’re still taking the time off to relax a bit. And we even get to do that safe in the knowledge that our booking was moved to next year, and that we lost no money on it.

What else… oh. I bought a tiny tripod for my phone so I can take better nail polish photos. We already have one that Z bought with phones in mind that I have used to the point of having to MacGuyver it a few times, but this new one is really small and can go on a desk instead of next to a desk. So I figure that it’s going to do me well next time I do the photo thing. Sunday maybe? We’ll see.
