In Miniature

Last night was a lovely family outing to the miniature train station. Z’s dad is a Rotarian, and his club organised the outing. Last year it was nominally with ‘the kids in mind’… this year, there didn’t seem to be too many children. *chuckles* But the girls had fun, we had a nice meal, and I got some impromptu exercise in the form of picking up Littler and running for the toilets when she declared suddenly that she needed to go. She thought it was hilarious, of course. ¬¬

Today has been mainly pleasant indoors, but tomorrow? Tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 90f. Like, legit, 90 in June in the UK. At least it’s not the 113F that it got to parts of France today, but like still… yuck. Z is getting the window ready for the a/c unit so that we can suffer slightly less tomorrow. I don’t plan on going outside if I can help it. We’ll see.

For now, gonna help Littler do a birthday card for her outing tomorrow, and otherwise vaguely prepare for going out tonight. One of the members of our knitting group is moving back to her home country, so we’re getting together for a nice meal. I’m looking forward to it because it’s one of my favourite places to eat, but I’m also not looking forward to it ’cause it’s been a long week and I don’t want to move. Tomorrow no move, ugh ugh.
