No, it’s not my magic wand, though I guess if I DID have one, it would be a knitting needle. No, this is a tacit reminder of why I almost never use straight needles anymore — one can get lost. One HAS gotten lost, and while I have another pair in this size, I’m super annoyed to have one of my nice birchwood needles go walkabout. I’ve moved what I was working on to a nice circular, so at least I won’t have to worry about losing one again (this time, at least).

My plans for today were to get the outstanding order in the post pre-noon. Instead, I had Littler home today and had to wait until after Smalls came home from school. I mean, it’s not the end of the world, but still — my brain was trying to be stupid about it. I’m glad I managed to rein that in for the most part. And, to be fair, it wasn’t until after the school run that I un-pained enough to think that I’d be able to make the short walk. I don’t know *why* I hurt so effin’ much today, but I do and all over. I’m better off than Z, who is curled up in bed already. Good thing we had frozen pizzas, ’cause easy food for cripple me to make myself and the girls.

Ugh, that paragraph is all over the place, but then, I’m not concretely existing enough at this second to marshal things into a tidy narrative. So it sometimes goes.
