I don’t know if I can call it rain per se, but some amount of water has forced itself out of the sky, grudgingly. The weather still claims that we’ll see some rain today, but. *shrugs* I am not complaining. It’s been cooler, I’m comfortable, and able to wear an extra layer. Heck, I even was able to sleep under a blanket all last night, which has been sorely missed with it being so warm. I’m sure it’s just going to keep getting worse on the whole because yanno, summer, but I can hope that it remains vaguely tolerable. Sleep, she is important.

*yays at random rainbow*

I have succeeded wildly in my not moving plans for the day. Smalls had a party to go to, but Z handled that, and gave Littler some one-on-one time with her grandparents to boot. As much as I relish having proper alone time, I’m starting to think that I’ve been a parent ‘too long’. I’m getting used to not having it like I need/needed.  Having said that, the amount I’m going to get will dramatically increase once Littler is in school full-time come September. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with myself… rhetorically. In actuality, I’ll be taking most of that time and using it to work more efficiently.

But of course, in less around-the-house news, we had another terror attack in London last night. There’s nothing quite like waking up, again, and needing to reassure my many friends all over the world that me and mine are okay. I do it because I know people worry out of love, and it’s not like it takes more than a few seconds to say ‘we’re okay’. So I did, and I do. The actual attack, well… Brits being Brits are already taking the piss left and right, a trait that makes me smile to be British. I have been more than a bit annoyed at American right-wingers trying to use it to score political points on Twitter, but my feed has many been friends (once again!) mocking them. I took a tiny swipe at snowflake Tomi Lahren over on the back of a friend’s tweet, because really. We are British. We are not afraid. We do not bow to terrorism.

Having said that, we might as well bend over backwards if people formalise Theresa May on Thursday. Her response to things seems to be ‘it’s Corbyn’s fault’, and ‘blame the internet’. That’s on top of her already having made all naturalised Britons second-class citizens while she was Home Secretary, continuing selling off the NHS, and decimating other public services stretched to the bring, like the police. I’m trying to not think too much about things until Friday, but right now I’m sincerely hoping people realise that she is a weakling, and a coward, and not worthy to run a shoe shop. Yooooofs, we’re relying on you to help swing things away from her.

Right, I’ve gone on too long, so I’m off.
