I’m just glad that it’s coming out mainly looking alright. I’ve learned a few things about how to knit better the next toy I make, to include doing long tail cast-on instead of knitted cast-on. It made for better edges to do the former. Now, we’ll see how sturdy my actual construction is once this little fellow starts spending the night with his future owner.

Now I’ve got to figure out what I am going to make next, preferably before I go out tomorrow night. There’s every chance I’ll just start in on another kit. There’s also a chance I throw my hands up and work on my cross-stitch. I think the light is better at the Thursday pub over the Wednesday pub, though I also suffer from not being inclined to sit directly under a bright light.

The above picture was taken on my trip to the Post Office this afternoon. The clouds, the flag, the tree… it all made me happy to see in combination. It wasn’t too cold outside, so it was sort of the best of both.

And yes, Post Office — I got my outgoing mail outgone. I almost sent my ballot registered because ‘my voter counts, damnit’, except it doesn’t count to the tune of £8+. £3 for it to go first class airmail was bad enough. But it’s there, it’s sent, we’ll Paint Texas Blue yet. Or not. We’ll see. I’m trying to not get too optimistic, because last time I did that we ended up with Greg Abbott as governor. ¬¬

Anyways, I’ve got some spots to knit, so I’m going to get stuck into that.
